An educational ice-breaking tool for new students, celebrate diversity and foster inclusivity
Challenge
At the beginning of the MFA program at Otis College of Art & Design, there's Otis Design Week. It's a jam-packed week of workshops and an exhibition, where each student creates and showcases their background by presenting an outcome at the end.
Solution
The project was envisioned as an opportunity for incoming graphic design MFA students to build new connections and strengthen existing relationships in a fun and social setting. Drawing from my industrial design background, I aimed to create a real product to add an exciting and practical element to the experience.
Outcome
Top Making Kit,
Poster Series,
Motion Graphic

Spinning tops serve as a unifying and inclusive choice for bringing people together to enjoy a timeless and enjoyable activity, as they are among the oldest toys found worldwide.

Spinning tops symbolize inclusivity and foster understanding, blending graphics represent the harmony of diversity and equality.
